Published on July 5, 2020, Mercy Kyallo, a young entrepreneur, opened up about her family life in an interview with Massawe Japanni.

At the tender age of 10, Mercy's parents parted ways after her father relocated abroad in search of better opportunities.

'My dad went abroad to look for greener pastures. That is when they parted, we struggled for a while but I thank God because he has sustained us,' Mercy said.

Despite the separation, Mercy maintains a close relationship with her father, who is of Luhya heritage, and her mother, a Kamba.

As the founder of Yallo leather, a company that provides leather products, Mercy credits her sister Betty Kyallo for contributing to her business success.

'Betty has contributed so much to my fame in business. When I was fired from my job, I stayed home for two months. I had so many thoughts. By that time, I had a partner who was so encouraging during that tough period,' Mercy shared.
