Published on July 4, 2020, a string of murders targeting young girls in Moi's Bridge has left residents in shock and outrage.

Sharon Sakwa, a mother of one of the victims, Stacy Nabiswa, a 12-year-old Standard Five pupil, is still grappling with the loss of her daughter who was killed in December last year.

According to Sakwa, her daughter was given mutura laced with a substance that made her dizzy before she was sexually abused and killed.

Another victim, 11-year-old Grace Njeri, a pupil at Bridgeways in Moi's Bridge, was found dead last Thursday, with some of her body parts still missing.

Her mother, Loice Muthoni, is yet to come to terms with the cold-blooded murder of her child, who disappeared on May 21, 2020.

‘My daughter disappeared on the evening of May 21, 2020, and on June 18, one month later, we were having lunch when we were told that a body had been found in a farm. What I saw when I arrived at the scene was shocking. Some body parts are yet to be found. That was the most inhumane thing I have ever seen,’ said Muthoni.

Uasin Gishu County Assembly Nominated MCA Belinda Tirop has led the residents in asking the government to arrest the killers.

Police are investigating the murders, with Soy Sub-County Divisional Police Commander Fanuel Nasio assuring residents that arrests will be made soon.
