Kenya Records Highest Number of Covid-19 Cases

Published on July 4, 2020, Kenya's Health CS Mutahi Kagwe confirmed the highest number of Coronavirus infections in the country's history. The surge in cases was recorded after 389 people tested positive in the last 24 hours.

According to Kagwe, the positive cases were a result of testing 4,829 samples, bringing the total number of samples tested in the country to 185,035.

The new positive cases are spread across various counties, with Nairobi recording the highest number of cases at 248, followed by Kajiado with 36 cases.

At the same time, 88 patients have been declared Coronavirus free, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,236. Unfortunately, Kenya has lost five more patients, bringing the Covid-19 fatalities to 159.
