Published on July 4, 2020, a video of a finely tuned Nissan GTR leaving a Subaru in dust has gone viral, captivating the attention of thousands of Kenyans.
The question on everyone's mind is: who owns the ride? Emerging reports have identified the owner as Williammm Kimm, an Asian resident of Kenya.
So, what makes the GTR so powerful? According to Nissan, the vehicle is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-L V6 engine that produces 565 hp and 467 lb-ft of torque.
Engineers at Nissan employed high-precision electronic controls to minimize turbo lag, ensuring a seamless increase in torque. A titanium exhaust system helps to cool the engine, while a master craftsman hand-assembles each exhaust for optimal performance.
The cylinder block features a closed deck for added strength, and a ladder frame structure supports the crankshaft. Magnesium alloy was chosen for the oil pan and rocker cover due to its light weight and strength.
