On July 3, 2020, a milestone was achieved for Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed as she was admitted to the bar, a privilege she had been waiting for seven years.

Chief Justice David Maraga presided over the event where 198 advocates were admitted to the bar, including Amb. Mohammed.

"Thank you very much. I am most grateful for this opportunity even though it comes 7 years after gazettement in 2013. Thank you to the team for freeing up time for me to finally sign the roll," tweeted Amb. Mohammed.

Before her admission to the bar, Amb. Mohammed earned her Master of Law degree in International Law from the University of Kiev in Ukraine and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of Oxford.
