Barcelona's search for a new manager may be over, with former player Xavi reportedly set to return to the Nou Camp on a lucrative deal.
According to reports, Xavi, 40, has agreed a 'firm agreement' with the club to replace embattled manager Quique Setien, who has been under pressure since football resumed after a three-month break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Setien's tenure has been marred by reports of player unrest, with the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez allegedly ignoring some of his instructions.
Xavi, who won four Champions League titles with Barcelona before leaving the club in 2015, is said to be set to earn £5.4m per year in his new role.
He currently manages Al-Sadd in Qatar, a position he took up last summer after ending his playing career with the same club.
Barcelona are currently second in the Spanish La Liga table, and a return to the Nou Camp for Xavi would be a significant coup for the club.
