Published on July 4, 2020, Gor Mahia has been confirmed as Kenya's representative in the 2020/2021 Champions League by the Confederation of African Football (Caf).

The club's CEO, Lordvick Aduda, expressed confidence in the team's ability to participate in the competition, stating that their main goal from the start of the 2019-2020 season was to play in the Champions' League.

"K'Ogalo have been regulars in Champions League for the past three years and there will be nothing different with this year's qualification," Aduda said.

Aduda also emphasized that the club's readiness for the Champions League is not dependent on the resumption of the KPL, which was annulled by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) on April 30.

However, the club will wait for the final decision from the court on the case pitting KPL and Chemelil Sugar against FKF over their decision to end the 2019/20 season.

On the other hand, KPL CEO Jack Oguda stated that they cannot comment on the Champions League and Gor Mahia issue until a decision is made by the courts.
