On July 3, 2020, Kimberly Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of Donald Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., tested positive for coronavirus.

Guilfoyle, a former Fox News television personality and a senior fundraiser for Donald Trump's re-election campaign, had travelled with Trump to South Dakota but did not attend an event with the US president after receiving her positive test results.

Tests conducted on the US president and his son later turned out to be negative.

The news comes as the US is experiencing a huge spike in coronavirus cases and at a time when Trump is receiving criticism for his response to the coronavirus crisis.
