On July 4, 2020, comedian Jalang'o confirmed he would be replacing former Kiss 100 breakfast show host Andrew Kibe at Kiss FM.
During a conversation with Kibe on his online show, Jalang'o revealed he had been offered the position and would be taking it.
"I am taking over the job, are you handing it over to me? You left it yourself and I have been given an offer to take over," Jalang'o said, as reported by Kibe.
Andrew Kibe had announced his departure from Kiss 100 on June 30, but did not disclose the reason behind his exit.
However, Kenyans on social media blamed Jalang'o for Kibe's exit, claiming he was the main reason Kibe was forced to leave.
Despite the backlash, Jalang'o will now co-host the breakfast show alongside Kamene Goro.
