On New Year's eve, 12-year-old Stacy Nabiswa went missing in Moi's Bridge. Her lifeless body was found near the railway line the following morning. Her mother, Sharon Sakwa, is still grappling with the loss and the events that led to her daughter's murder.

According to Sakwa, Stacy was given mutura laced with a substance she suspects was alcoholic, making her dizzy before she was sexually abused and killed. The suspects were arrested but released soon after, and now they have been threatening Sakwa's life.

Stacy's case is not an isolated incident. In May 2020, 11-year-old Grace Njeri, a pupil at Bridgeways in Moi's Bridge, disappeared and was later found murdered. Her mother, Loice Muthoni, is still searching for her daughter's remains, which have not been found yet.

Another victim, 13-year-old Lucy Wanjiru, was found defiled and murdered in January 2020. Her brother, Kevin Wanyonyi, said her lifeless body was found on the same day she was kidnapped.

Residents of Moi's Bridge are outraged by the string of murder cases targeting young girls. Uasin Gishu County Assembly Nominated MCA Belinda Tirop has called on the government to arrest the killers.

Police are investigating the murders, according to Soy Sub-County Divisional Police Commander Fanuel Nasio.
