Published on July 4, 2020, a devastating explosion shook Somalia's capital Mogadishu early Saturday morning.
A vehicle crashed into the wall of a compound next to the port in Mogadishu and exploded at around 7:30 am, causing widespread destruction and chaos.
Emergency personnel rushed to the scene, but details were scarce as they worked to contain the situation.
According to police, they would provide more information later, but so far, no group has claimed responsibility for the early morning explosion.
The area is frequently visited by casual labourers looking for work at the port, especially in the early morning hours.
