New Team to Probe Mysterious Killings of Two Minors in Athi River

On July 1, 2020, the bodies of Alvina Mutheu, 3, and Henry Jacktone, 4, were recovered from a vehicle at the Athi River Police Station.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has assigned a new team to investigate the mysterious killings.

The team has recorded fresh statements from the family of the two minors and has lined up several individuals for questioning, including the owner of the vehicle and senior and junior officers at the police station.

The postmortem examination, initially scheduled for July 7, has been postponed to a date yet to be confirmed after consultation with Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Odour, who is currently engaged in other matters in Marsabit County.
