On April 1, 2018, a tragic incident occurred in Kenyamangari village, Mashangwa location, Trans Mara, where two colleagues, Samuel Magige and Samuel Nyamuroni, lost their lives in a brutal attack.

Justice Roseline Ougo of the High Court in Kisii has since delivered a ruling, finding the three accused men, Jones Wambura, Tagane Mwita, and Stephen Mahigara, guilty of the heinous crime.

According to the court's findings, the evidence presented by the prosecution had proven beyond reasonable doubt that the three men had attacked Magige and Nyamuroni with the intention of causing death or grievous bodily harm.

As a result, the court has sentenced each of the three men to 30 years in prison, with both sentences running concurrently. They have the right to appeal within 14 days.

Justice Ougo's ruling was delivered on July 4, 2020, as reported by The Standard.
