Kenya Airways is set to resume services, but with a reduced network due to suppressed demand for air transport and a large part of its fleet grounded.
According to the airline's CEO, the carrier will operate a reduced network when services resume, and normalcy in the aviation sector is expected to take some time to return.
As a result, the airline has announced a second wave of unpaid leave for staff not required during the resumption of services, starting from Monday.
The human resources team and departmental heads will communicate directly with affected staff to provide information and support during this transition.
The CEO acknowledged that this process will be painful but urged staff to reach out for support.
