With President Uhuru Kenyatta's address on July 6 expected to outline the next steps in the fight against Covid-19, Kenyans are holding onto hope that local travel restrictions may be eased soon.
On July 3, Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala toured Moi International Airport in Mombasa to inspect the measures being put in place for the resumption of air travel.
According to Balala, the Health and Safety protocols will apply once the President eases travel restrictions set in place, as he tweeted:
