Hetal Nathwani, a business development manager at Cytonn Investments, has an inspiring story of overcoming obstacles and achieving success through determination and hard work.
After completing her secondary school education, Hetal never attended college and instead studied at home and took exams virtually. She has an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certificate and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) level three candidate.
Initially, Hetal had no choice but to study at home due to limited educational opportunities in her hometown of Bungoma. However, she soon discovered that she preferred this method of learning, which allowed her to study at her own pace and choose her own learning style.
Today, Hetal is a successful business development manager at Cytonn Investments, where she is responsible for growing the business on different fronts, including global fundraising and strategizing on new business initiatives. Her typical day involves a lot of communication, speaking to clients and heads of institutions, and holding training programs.
When asked about her secret to success, Hetal attributes it to her ability to train and develop her team members. She believes that one cannot go forward unless they train someone to do their job, and she takes training seriously.
Outside of her professional life, Hetal enjoys cooking and experiencing nature. She is also passionate about passing on life lessons and skills to her children and colleagues.
