COVID-19 Hits Text Book Centre in Nairobi

COVID-19 has reached Text Book Centre in Nairobi, with the company's Kijabe Street branch temporarily closed as a precautionary measure.

According to Text Book Centre, an employee from one of their service providers attached to the Kijabe headquarters tested positive for the new coronavirus.

Managing Director Armand Houhau confirmed the incident, stating that the individual is currently isolated, in a stable condition, and receiving the appropriate medical and counselling support.

"Text Book Centre Ltd confirms that an officer from one of our service providers attached to Kijabe headquarters tested positive for Covid-19," Houhau said in a statement.

He added that the company had taken precautionary measures internally in line with guidelines issued by government agencies.

Text Book Centre assured that all their other branches and the e-commerce platform will remain open.

On July 2, 2020, the company posted a public notice on its social media accounts, stating that the Kijabe headquarters and the Kijabe Street branch will be temporarily closed from July 3, 2020, until July 6, 2020.
