Kenya Airways, the country's national carrier, has seen its shares trading on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) suspended for the next three months. This decision was made by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) on July 3, 2020, following an imminent corporate restructure and government buy-out.

The suspension, which was approved and issued by the CMA, will remain in effect for the next three months. This move is part of the government's efforts to restructure the airline and ensure its long-term sustainability.

Earlier, Kenya Airways had applied for the suspension of trading in its shares and closure of its register until the conclusion of its future is determined. The CMA has approved this request, and the suspension has been effected.

More information on this development will be provided as it becomes available.
