Ken Mijungu, a well-known NTV news anchor, has been let go by Nation Media Group, the parent company of the station.
According to a tweet from Ken Mijungu himself, he was among several employees who were sacked by Nation Media Group this week.
Ken Mijungu reflected on his time at NTV in a heartfelt message, stating that it had been seven years since he first joined the media house.
"The axe fell @NTVnewsroom and I was on its way. 7 years in those corridors summed up in a two-page letter of termination. We live to fight another day," he tweeted on July 3, 2020.
Ken Mijungu expressed gratitude to God, NTV Kenya, and their loyal viewers for the opportunity and support during his time at the station.
NTV Kenya has not publicly commented on the reasons behind Ken Mijungu's termination.
