Ken Mijungu, a well-known news anchor in Kenya, has been let go by Nation Media Group's NTV. The news came as a shock to many, especially after he announced on Twitter that his time at NTV had come to an end.

According to his post, the axe fell on July 3, 2020, and he was given a two-page letter of termination. He expressed gratitude to God and thanked NTV for the opportunity.

Ken Mijungu presented the 9 pm bulletin, AMLive, as well as the Side Bar show, where he hosted politicians, including Deputy President William Ruto. The station had announced on July 1 that more sackings were likely to follow.
