Kenya has confirmed 6,941 cases of COVID-19, with 152 deaths and 2,109 recoveries as of July 2.
Text Book Centre, a major bookstore in Nairobi's Kijabe area, has been temporarily closed after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Armand Houhau, the company's CEO, the store will remain closed until July 6 to allow for disinfection and testing of all staff members.
"We have confirmed that one of our employees has tested positive for Corona, the patient has been isolated and is receiving treatment," Armand said.
"We must ensure the health and safety of our employees, customers, and stakeholders," he added.
However, Armand noted that other branches of the company will remain open.
On July 2, Kenya had reported 6,941 cases of COVID-19, with 152 deaths and 2,109 recoveries.
