DJ Evolve's Father Defends Babu Owino ¶
Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili, popularly known as Babu Owino, has been at the center of controversy after DJ Evolve was shot at B-Club in Nairobi six months ago.
However, in a shocking turn of events, DJ Evolve's father, Felix Orinda, has come out in defense of Babu Owino, claiming he has been paying his son's medical expenses.
Orinda made the claims in a video interview with NTV, where he expressed gratitude to Nairobi Hospital for their care and treatment of his son.
"I want to thank Nairobi Hospital for their dedication and care since my son was discharged from the hospital. His health has been improving every day, and he has been receiving the necessary medication," Orinda said.
Orinda also claimed that Babu Owino has been paying for his son's medical expenses, including the cost of treatment and medication.
"Babu is not a bad person, despite the fact that we have not spoken since the incident. I request that Felix gets well soon," Orinda said.
Orinda's claims come after Babu Owino was charged with attempted murder and later released on bond. The Director of Public Prosecutions, Noordin Haji, had said that he would communicate with the court on whether to proceed with the case or not.
NTV had earlier reported on the case, where DJ Evolve's mother had expressed her shock and disappointment at Babu Owino's actions.
"I have never spoken to Babu since the incident. I request that Felix gets well soon," Orinda said.
Orinda's claims have sparked a mixed reaction on social media, with some people defending Babu Owino and others condemning his actions.
