On June 14, 2020, Nkechi Ezenwa, a 20-year-old banana hawker, began experiencing labor pains and gave birth to triplets at a hospital in Nigeria.

However, the hospital lacked the necessary equipment and capacity to handle the delivery, and Ezenwa was subsequently directed to another hospital that had recently started providing medical services after a church member made a deposit.

After the delivery process, Ezenwa was left with a medical bill of approximately KSh 116,000, an amount she has appealed to Nigerians to help her settle.

According to a doctor from the hospital, Ezenwa used six cylinders of oxygen on the babies to ensure their survival and required additional blood to replace the blood she lost during the cesarean section.

The doctor also claimed to have purchased a new power generator for the children, which added to the overall cost.

Ezenwa's situation has left her feeling hopeless, but she remains focused on caring for her newborn babies.

She has appealed to kind-hearted individuals to come to her aid and help her settle the medical bill.
