On June 23, 2020, Novak Djokovic, along with fellow tennis stars Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric, and Viktor Troiki, tested positive for COVID-19 after participating in exhibition matches without following social distancing rules.

However, in a recent update, Djokovic's media team announced that the tennis star and his wife Jelena have tested negative for COVID-19, as confirmed by their latest test in Belgrade.

According to the statement, Djokovic and his wife felt no symptoms of the virus and took the test after consulting with doctors. They had spent the past 10 days in self-isolation upon returning from Zadar, Croatia, adhering to all COVID-19 protocols and safety measures.

It's worth noting that the matches on the Adria Tour, where Djokovic participated, were staged in crowded stadiums in Belgrade and Zadar, raising concerns about the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Despite the controversy surrounding the event, Djokovic maintained that his events conformed to local guidelines, and the tour was designed to help tennis players from southeastern Europe gain access to competitive tennis during the pandemic.
