On July 2, 2020, Deputy President William Ruto emphasized the importance of unity in Kenya, urging citizens to put aside tribal differences and work towards a common goal.

Speaking at his Karen residence in Nairobi, Dr. Ruto noted that every Kenyan deserves the opportunity to realize their dreams and aspirations, and that unity is key to achieving equality in the country.

“If we unite, we will overcome our challenges and achieve equality in our country,” he said during a Nairobi County youth and women groups empowerment program.

As part of his efforts to empower the youth, Dr. Ruto donated equipment to support their business ventures, targeting 5,000 youths. The equipment included sewing machines, water tanks, and poultry feeds.

He urged the youth to work hard to realize their dreams, saying, “no one should expect anything on a silver platter.”
