Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been at the center of controversy after shooting DJ Evolve at B Club on January 17. The incident has sparked widespread criticism, with many calling for the MP's head. However, DJ Evolve's father, John Orinda, has broken his silence to defend the embattled MP.
According to Orinda, Babu Owino is not a bad person, as many have made him out to be. In fact, the MP has been instrumental in ensuring that DJ Evolve receives the best medical care possible. Orinda revealed that Babu Owino has paid over Ksh 7 million for DJ Evolve's medication at Nairobi Hospital.
Orinda also credited Babu Owino for ensuring that DJ Evolve has the best care from nurses, saying that the MP has not forsaken his son. He even went on to say that if Babu Owino was a bad person, he would have run away after the incident.
NTV aired an exclusive story showing DJ Evolve in a dilapidated state, which sparked widespread outrage. DJ Evolve, whose real name is Felix Orinda, has been hospitalized for close to six months and is unable to speak or walk.
Meanwhile, Babu Owino has demanded an apology from Nation Media Group over the NTV story or he will sue them for defamation.
