On July 2, 2020, a heated online exchange erupted between comedians Sleepy David and Zeddy, following Zeddy's scathing post blaming Victor Ber for the deaths of Kasee and Njenga Mswahili.

According to Zeddy's post, her issue was solely with Victor Ber, but Sleepy David's defense of his friend's husband, Teacher Wanjiku's husband, only fueled the fire, prompting Zeddy to reveal more unknown details about the Churchill show.

Zeddy alleged that Sleepy David has been receiving favors from Victor Ber, allowing him to consistently survive talent show eliminations without explanation.

However, after the story gained traction online, Sleepy David issued an apology, acknowledging that Zeddy had every right to mourn and remember their colleagues who were more than friends but family.

He stated, 'I made a post in regards to the Victor Ber issue and I have got all manner of reactions which are all valid because it's real and it's a conversation we all need to have ASAP. We are losing too many young people.'

Sleepy David went on to clarify that his intention was not to victim-shame, but to defend Victor Ber, whom he considers a brother and mentor.

He reached out to Zeddy in an attempt to settle the matter and move forward.
