David Oswe, a midfielder for Wazito FC, is looking forward to the 2020/21 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season, hoping to play more regularly for the club.

Although he was a key player in Wazito's bid for promotion to the KPL, Oswe has seen limited action this season due to the presence of several talented midfielders at the club.

Oswe has been utilizing the break in the season caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to focus on his training and believes he will return rejuvenated and ready to fight for his place in the team.

"I've been doing morning runs and incorporating agility, speed, and strength training throughout the week," Oswe said in an interview posted on the club's YouTube channel.

"I hope to come back strongly and play more games. We were starting to get better as a team before the coronavirus halted the league, but I'm hopeful we'll do even better once the new season kicks off," he added.

Oswe has learned valuable lessons from the season, which was cut short by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) due to the pandemic.

"We started poorly but improved as the season progressed, teaching me not to give up, no matter what challenges I face in life. I need to work smarter, as football is my only career and I depend on it," Oswe said.
