On a journey that many women can relate to, gospel artiste Kambua has penned a special message to women who are waiting on God for the gift of a child.
Published on July 2, 2020, Kambua's message comes from a place of understanding, having experienced the pain and struggles of infertility herself.
She began by acknowledging the women who have been waiting and waiting, those who have received negative pregnancy tests, and those who are battling fertility issues.
'I am thinking about the woman who has been waiting and waiting; the woman who just got another negative pregnancy test,' Kambua wrote. 'I thought of the woman who has done all sorts of tests and her infertility remains “unexplained”. I thought of the woman battling all sorts of Fertility issues, how the odds seem stacked high against them.'
She also thought of the women who have experienced miscarriages, those who have finally conceived but then faced complications, and those who have given birth to babies who did not survive.
'I am thinking about the woman who finally got a miracle conception, heard the heartbeat, and then learned that there was a complication- no more cardiac activity,' Kambua wrote. 'I am thinking about the woman who went full term, labored, and brought forth a beautiful baby, perfect, only that they didn’t cry; they didn’t make it to this side of earth.'
Despite the challenges, Kambua urged women to wait on God, reminding them that He is a covenant keeper and will keep His promise to them.
'I don’t know how God will do it,' she wrote. 'Maybe naturally like he did for me, maybe IVF like he’s done for others, maybe through the beautiful path of adoption, or perhaps surrogacy… I don’t know. What I do know, is that He is a covenant keeper. And he will keep his promise to you.'
