Published on July 2, 2020, Jacqueline Mengi, a former beauty queen and singer, has been making headlines with her recent comments on remarrying after the death of her husband Reginald Mengi, a Tanzanian billionaire who passed away last year.
The couple had tied the knot in 2015 in a private ceremony attended by family, close friends, and business associates.
When asked by fans if she would remarry, Mengi neither confirmed nor denied it, saying, "I don't know, I will see what God has planned for me."
Earlier this year, Mengi paid tribute to her late husband, assuring him that she would keep his legacy alive, saying, "My love, not a day passes without a thought of you. I thank God for your life, for the opportunity to love and be loved by you."
While advising young people on who to marry, Mengi urged them to look at character and the heart, saying, "Dear young men and women, when choosing a potential husband or wife, you must pick someone who is the kind of person you'd want your child to emulate in terms of character and behavior."
Reginald Mengi's death led to a dispute over his property, with his younger brother and other family members taking legal action against his widow, Jacqueline Mengi.
Before her marriage, Mengi was a singer who released the hit song 'Crazy Over You'.
