On July 2, 2020, Kenya's health authorities reported a significant increase in Covid-19 cases, with 268 new infections recorded in the last 24 hours.

According to the latest statistics, the total number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 6,951, with 259 Kenyans and nine foreigners affected.

The youngest patient is just one year old, while the oldest is 80 years old.

Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman announced that 20 patients have been discharged from health facilities in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 2,109.

Unfortunately, three more people have lost their lives to Covid-19, taking the total virus deaths in the country to 152.
