On 29th June 2020, the China (Guangxi)-Africa & Middle East Digital Trade Week was launched, marking a significant milestone in promoting trade and economic cooperation between China, Africa, and the Middle East. The event was organized by the CCPIT Guangxi committee, CCOIC Guangxi, and 14 CCPIT Guangxi City Branches, with the MIE Group serving as co-organizer.

The digital trade week aims to utilize the China Africa Trade Week platform and cross-border e-commerce to showcase the unique advantages of Guangxi's high-quality products to foreign countries, thereby strengthening friendly relationships between China, Africa, and the Middle East, and accelerating overseas business.

The kick-off meeting was attended by global viewers from China, Africa, and the GCC key source markets, as well as senior dignitaries, including Chinese ambassadors and counselors from the Chinese Embassy in Senegal, Kenya, Ghana, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda.

Li Xuxiang, Vice President of CCPIT Guangxi, emphasized the importance of supporting the digital trade week, stating, “COVID 19 is spreading all over the world. China, the Middle East, and Africa are all facing the grueling task of fighting the epidemic, stabilizing the economy, and protecting people’s livelihood. Under these circumstances, supporting the “China (Guangxi) – Africa & Middle East Digital Trade Week” is a specific action of Guangxi’s in-depth participation and active integration of the “Belt and Road Initiative” building.”

During the event, over 520 commodities from 102 Guangxi export enterprises will be exhibited, and 7 online promotion meetings will be held daily, focusing on various industries, including medicine, construction materials, and electronic products.

Registration for the event is now open at https://www.globaltradeweek.com/guangxi.
