On a personal level, Esther Chebet, alias Matilda of Real House Helps of Kawangware, has spoken about the emotional struggles she faced while working in a cyber cafe.

Published on July 2, 2020, Matilda shared her story of wondering why her life wasn't working out, despite her hard work.

She recalled the story of a colleague who had to work hard to print out payslips, fill out KRA returns, and check emails, only to go home and cry herself to sleep.

Matilda couldn't understand why she had to be the one working in the cyber cafe while others who had performed poorly joined their desired universities, simply because their mothers couldn't afford it.

However, Matilda has since found happiness and comfort, understanding that everyone has their own unique struggles and that it's essential to give people time to grow.

She urged people not to be the reason someone falls into depression for not living up to their expectations, and instead, to be proud of others' achievements and celebrate their progress.

Matilda's message is a powerful reminder of the importance of empathy and understanding in our daily lives.
