On June 29, NTV announced that DJ Evolve, who was allegedly shot by MP Babu Owino in January, was still bedridden and unable to do anything for himself. The DJ had recently been discharged from hospital.
However, MP Babu Owino has now threatened to sue Nation Media Group over the story, which he claims is defamatory and libelous.
According to a letter from the MP's legal team, dated July 1, the media house is being asked to tender a public apology and admit liability for 'slanderous and libelous statements'.
MP Babu Owino is currently out on bail and facing charges of attempted murder following the shooting incident at Kilimani's club.
