On Thursday morning, Kenya Bureau of Standards (Kebs) Managing Director Bernard Njiraini was taken into custody by officers of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) as part of an ongoing investigation into bribery allegations at the State corporation.

Published on July 2, 2020, at 10:52 AM, the arrest comes as a significant development in the ongoing probe.

Mr. Njiraini was apprehended and taken to the EACC's offices for processing and to record a statement.
