Bishop Juma's son, Peter, died of COVID-19 in the US on March 28, 2020. He had last visited his family during the 2019 Christmas period and was buried far away from home.
The late bishop will be laid to rest on July 4, 2020, at his rural home in Kabondo Kodumo, Homa Bay county.
