TV47 has announced the appointment of news anchor Abubakar Abdullahi as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2020.

The appointment comes after the resignation of founding CEO Eugene Anangwe, who tendered his resignation on June 9, 2020, and left the station on June 30, 2020.

According to an internal memo dated June 30, 2020, Anangwe's resignation was due to personal reasons, and he expressed pride in his work at TV47.
