President Uhuru Kenyatta Gifts Nzoia Sugar FC a New Bus

On July 1, 2020, President Uhuru Kenyatta presented Nzoia Sugar FC with a brand new bus, capable of carrying 52 people, at a ceremony held at the Harambee House in Nairobi.

The bus was handed over to the club's chairman, Joash Wamang'oli, who will use it for the team's soccer activities.

The ceremony was attended by several regional leaders, including Governors Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia), Wycliffe Wangamati (Bungoma), Wilbur Ottichilo (Vihiga), and Patrick Khaemba (Trans-Nzoia).

Other notable attendees included Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli.

Nzoia Sugar FC's chairman, Evans Kadenge, thanked the President and vowed that the team would perform well in the upcoming KPL season, which is set to kick off in August.

The club had previously accumulated 13 points from 22 matches before the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the football calendar.
