On July 2, 2020, a disturbing discovery was made at Athi River Police Station in Kenya, where the bodies of two children were found in a car.

The children, identified as Alvina Mutheu, aged three, and Henry Jackton, aged four, had been missing for over three months, but their bodies were discovered in a car that had been towed to the station following an accident on Mombasa Road.

According to police, the vehicle had been at the station for more than three months before the children were reported missing, leading to suspicions that the bodies may have been hidden there.

"It is very strange, because the vehicle had been at the station for more than three months before they were reported missing," a police officer at the station said.

Parents of the two children have positively identified them, and an investigation has been launched by homicide detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
