Published on July 1, 2020, a shocking incident occurred at a workplace in Buuri, Meru County, where a worker was suspended after claiming his wife had given birth to twins.

According to eyewitnesses, the employee had informed his boss that his wife was pregnant and had given birth to twins, and he needed a leave of absence to visit her.

However, the boss was not convinced and questioned the employee's claim, saying, "Kwa nini unadanganya unataka kwenda kumjulia mkeo hali ilhali hujaoa? Nilimpigia mamako simu akaniambia huna mke. Kama unataka likizo ili uende uponde raha sikupi!"

The employee's colleagues claim that he was calm and composed despite the situation, and even joked about the situation, saying, "Sio lazima wazazi wangu wajue nina mke. Kwa nini wewe pia unafuatilia maneno yasiyokuhusu? Heri nipoteze kazi lakini nihakikishe nimeenda kumtembelea mpenzi wangu,"

Despite the employee's attempts to justify his actions, the boss eventually decided to suspend him, citing the need to investigate the matter further.
