Bruno Fernandes' Unique Post-Game Habit Earns Him a New Nickname

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been a revelation since joining the club from Sporting CP in January. His impressive performances have caught the attention of fans and critics alike.

During Manchester United's 3-0 rout against Brighton and Hove Albion on June 30, Fernandes was in typical scintillating form, scoring a brace that helped keep the Red Devils' hopes for a top-four finish alive.

However, it was not just his goals that made headlines, but also his unique post-game habit that earned him a new nickname.

As reported by TUKO.co.ke, Fernandes was substituted in the 64th minute and immediately replaced by Scott McTominay. It was around that time that fans noticed something unusual - Fernandes was seen gulping down what looked like milk in the dugout.

Fans took to social media to share their amusement at Fernandes' unique habit, with many referring to him as 'the Milkman'. While it may seem unusual, consuming a source of protein after a game is not uncommon among athletes, as it helps with muscle regeneration and preparation for the next match.

Speaking after the game, Fernandes expressed delight about his performance, crediting his teammates for their assist in his goals.

"It was amazing. But it was a good job from Paul. In the first goal, the ball came back for me, he knows I will be there to shoot. And the second goal was an amazing assist from Mason [Greenwood], an amazing pass, and I do a good shot,” he said after the game.

Notably, his partnership with Paul Pogba is starting to pay off, with the World Cup winner sitting a bit deeper in midfield.
