Former Kenyan Premier Raila Odinga has returned home after undergoing minor surgery in the United Arab Emirates, sparking relief among Kenyans who had been concerned about his health.
According to a video clip posted on his social media page, Odinga is seen in good spirits, donning a yellow shirt and blue shorts, and dancing to a lively tune.
His last-born daughter Winnie Odinga tweeted the video, captioning it: '..And we're back! Feeling good and fresh, ready for the game! A special message from @RailaOdinga pic.twitter.com/PVVkVdKuGV '
On the video, Odinga is heard saying: 'I’m feeling great and let me thank everyone who sent me messages of goodwill. Asante, Asante, Asante Sana.'
His departure for treatment abroad more than a week ago had sparked speculation and debate among Kenyans, with many seeking to know his whereabouts and the state of his health.
It was only after a statement from his elder brother Dr. Oburu Odinga that the public was informed that he was undergoing minor surgery, putting an end to the speculation.
