On May 30, a gruesome crime took place at Amani Court in Umoja, Nairobi County, where a woman's dismembered body was left behind by a killer.

Francis Kihara, a garbage collector who had been on the run for a month, was arrested on June 30 and charged with being an accessory to murder.

According to the charges, Kihara was hired by suspected serial killer David Migwi Kariuki to dispose of the body, which was allegedly cut into four bales and wrapped in wedding décor materials.

However, Kihara denied the charges before Nairobi Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi at the Milimani Law Courts.

The case against Kihara will be consolidated with those of his alleged accomplices, including Nancy Wanja, the landlady of Kariuki's house, and Nicholas Kimanthi, the caretaker of the building.

It is alleged that the three suspects removed the body, cut and packed it, and wrapped it with wedding décor materials, before dumping it at Tumaini Primary School.

Investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations [DCI] led by Inspector John Kanampiu of Buruburu DCI offices revealed that the body had been dumped at the school, and pieces of similar wedding decor materials were found outside the serial killer's house.
