On July 1, 2020, Kenya's COVID-19 cases rose to 6,673 after 307 individuals tested positive in the last 24 hours, marking the highest number of infections recorded in a single day since the pandemic began.
Health CAS Rashid Aman stated during the daily COVID-19 press conference that the latest numbers were the highest recorded since the onset of the pandemic.
Out of the 307 cases, 215 were male with 92 being female. The youngest case was a 1-year-old, while the oldest was 81 years of age.
3,591 samples had been tested in the same period, bringing a cumulative figure of 173,355 tests done so far.
Kenya's COVID-19 cases have been on the rise, with the latest numbers indicating a significant increase in infections.
