Seneta Millicent Omanga has sparked controversy after offering to pay Mary Kwamboka KSh 100,000 to prove her claims of a secret relationship with Chief Justice David Maraga.
On June 30, 2020, Kwamboka publicly claimed to have been in a relationship with Maraga for six months, resulting in a child. She alleged that Maraga had taken on the responsibilities of a father to the child.
Omanga, through her Twitter account, appeared to dismiss Kwamboka's claims and offered to pay her KSh 100,000 if she could prove the relationship with Maraga.
Omanga stated, "I'm ready to pay 100K for the services of a lawyer and DNA testing if you can prove your claims about your relationship with Maraga,"
Omanga described Maraga as a respected elder in her church and said he would not be intimidated by such allegations.
Maraga's representatives have denied the claims, calling them a plot to discredit the Chief Justice. They stated, "The woman is being used by those who want to remove Maraga from office. There have been many attempts to discredit Maraga before he completes his term on January 12, 2021,"
