Google Stadia has expanded its capabilities for Android users, allowing them to pair their Stadia controllers wirelessly with their devices.

This update, which became available on June 30th, enables users to connect their Stadia controllers to their Android smartphones without the need for a cable.

According to Stadia's community site, users can pair their controllers wirelessly by setting up their phone and Stadia controller on the same Wi-Fi network, launching a game, and following the pairing instructions on the screen.

Before this update, users had to connect their controllers to their Android devices using a cable. The ability to pair controllers wirelessly through Chrome was introduced about 2 months ago.

Google Stadia's expansion to all Android smartphones in June marked a significant step towards making cloud gaming more accessible to a wider audience.

As Stadia continues to add fan-favorite games to its catalogue and improve its services, it is laying the foundation for a strong cloud gaming alternative.
