On June 30, 2020, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) made a crucial decision to postpone the Africa Cup of Nations finals, originally scheduled for January 2021 in Cameroon, to January 2022.
The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted football activities across the continent since March, leaving little time to complete the qualification competition.
As a result, the Cup of Nations, which was due to take place from January 9 to February 6, 2021, will now be rescheduled for January 2022.
Additionally, Cameroon will host the semi-finals and final of the African Champions League, which will be played at a single venue in Douala.
