On June 30, 2020, Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji took swift action in response to the heart-wrenching story of DJ Evolve, who was allegedly shot by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on January 17, 2020, at B Club.

The incident left DJ Evolve hospitalized for six months until his discharge from the Nairobi Hospital on June 18, 2020.

Speaking in his first interview, DJ Evolve expressed his acceptance of the situation, stating, 'I have to come to terms with my situation. Whatever happened was unfortunate.'

He appealed to Kenyans to pray for his full recovery and to support him in his efforts to regain his mobility and return to the entertainment scene.

Despite his progress, DJ Evolve still faces significant challenges, including being unable to move his arms and relying on others for assistance with daily tasks.

With the Judiciary's priority on the case, DPP Haji's action brings hope for a speedy conclusion and justice for DJ Evolve and his family.
