As a parent, dealing with a picky eater can be frustrating, but there are ways to make mealtime enjoyable for your child.

According to a recent article, many parents admit to having a child who is extremely picky with what they eat, often grumbling during dinner time because the family meal doesn't please their palate.

Before resorting to shouting at your child, try some of these options to make mealtime a breeze:

Roasted Chickpeas

Chickpeas are an excellent source of protein, offering more than meat does, making them a super healthy option for kids.

Try roasting them with some paprika and salt for a tasty and crunchy snack.

Stir-Fried Broccoli

Broccoli is not a child's friend when it's just boiled and mushy. Get creative and parboil it, then stir-fry it with some soy sauce, a pinch of salt, and sautéed onions.

Fish in Sauce

Most kids love fish because it's not hard to chew, but the smell of grilled fish can be off-putting. Try making fish fingers or fish in sauce by grilling fish marinated with lemon juice, salt, and black pepper, then serving it with a sauce made from chives and pureed tomatoes.

Chicken on a Stick

Getting creative in cooking is inevitable when you have kids. Try cutting chicken breast into bite-sized chunks, marinating them in black pepper, salt, and soy sauce, then grilling them on a stick with bell pepper chunks.

Tomato Soup

Warm tomato soup is a favorite among kids, especially since it's seedless and doesn't have the peel of the tomato, which they dislike.

Try pureeing and sieving the soup, then adding some mixed herbs and Oregano together with heavy cream for a delicious meal.

Vegetable Dumplings

These taste like pasta rolled in vegetables. Try parboiling diced carrots, potatoes, and peas with salt, then filling them into pastry for the dumpling and steaming them for an explosion of flavor.

Sweet Potato Fries

Instead of using Irish potatoes, try using sweet potatoes, which are more flavorful and naturally sweeter.

Deep-fry or coat them with paprika and roast them in the oven for a tasty snack that kids will love.
