On June 30, 2020, popular radio personality Felix Odiwuor, known as Jalang'o, addressed the controversy surrounding his alleged role in the exit of Andrew Kibe from Kiss FM.

Speaking on his Bonga na Jalas channel, Jalang'o clarified that he had nothing to do with Kibe's ouster, stating that Kibe was his friend and had resigned on his own volition.

"I was asleep and when I woke up, I found myself trending at number one. I have just spoken to him and he told me he disagreed with the station," Jalang'o stated.

He added, "Kiss FM is where I started. Guys, I did not know Andrew had left the station. Every other person claiming I can't take over Kiss FM, that is where I started," Jalang'o said.

Andrew Kibe had confirmed his exit from the station in an exclusive phone call to Kenyans.co.ke, stating that he had a great run at the station and would now focus on his brand on digital platforms.

After announcing his exit, fans of Kibe accused Jalang'o of being behind his ouster with the aim of landing the spot.

However, Jalang'o's initial confirmation that he was set to reunite with his colleagues at Radio Africa, which owns Radio Jambo, Kiss FM, and Classic 105, sparked speculations that he might take up a spot at the station.

"I might end up on Waiyaki Way. I had an amazing meeting with Patrick Quarcoo (Radio Africa CEO) who is my friend, boss, the first person who ever gave me a contract," Jalang'o stated at a past live broadcast.
